Soeteck Prefabricated Container Data Center in Qatar
Sep 16, 2025
Against the backdrop of the global digitalization wave—where data has emerged as a core strategic asset—GRD Company has established a deep cooperative partnership with the Qatari government for a key data center project. For this initiative, the client specifically selected Shuayi Technology to develop and construct an innovative 40-foot standard containerized data center for its Qatari branch.
Breaking free from the constraints of traditional fixed data center designs, this project is tailored to deliver a mobile data hub for the Qatari branch. The data center is integrated within a rugged 40-foot container and fortified by cutting-edge security technologies, forming an impenetrable defense for both stored data and real-time processing tasks. This ensures ultra-stable operations even amid the dynamic and ever-evolving digital landscape, marking a pivotal milestone in GRD Company’s journey toward full-scale digital transformation.
The 40-foot containerized data center is fully outfitted with critical infrastructure to guarantee reliability, efficiency, and security, with key specifications as follows:
The container data center is deployed in an environment with extreme conditions:
- Ambient temperature at the site reaches up to 50 °C;
- Frequent strong sandstorms occur;
- These conditions lead to two critical risks: equipment overheating and dust clogging, which significantly increase operational instability.
To address the above challenges, Shuayi Technology provided a comprehensive, integrated solution with three core measures:
- High-temperature dedicated air conditioner: Capable of delivering full-load cooling performance even at 50 °C. It has passed long-duration extreme-condition tests, with zero temperature drift during operation.
- IP5X high-efficiency filtration system: Effectively intercepts sand and dust particles, extending filter service life by 300% and reducing maintenance intervals by 50%.
- Full-chain high-temperature resistant components: All key components (including cables, connectors, and fan motors) are rated for 85 °C operation, lowering the equipment aging rate by 70%.
Through the synergy of these three measures, the container data center achieves 24/7 continuous and stable operation even under 50 °C high-temperature and sandstorm conditions.
The project faced dual pressures: a compressed delivery timeline and strict technical customization requirements. To meet these demands, Shuayi Technology adopted a "freeze-track-green-channel" three-step method to achieve ultra-short lead-time performance:
- 24-hour technical freeze: The sales, R&D, and supply chain teams collaborate to conduct a joint review of the BOM (Bill of Materials) and design drawings, locking in all details in one go to eliminate any subseq
- Daily progress dashboard: Critical-path tasks are assigned to specific owners, with daily progress reviews. If any task is delayed by more than 8 hours, an immediate alert is triggered to resolve issues promptly.
- Supply-chain green channel:
- Safety stock is maintained for core components to avoid supply gaps;
- Suppliers of custom components are stationed on-site to streamline communication and production;
- Logistics rely on dedicated direct trucks to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished products.
